Andrew Burch was born and raised in
Traverse City, Michigan. In 1967, Andrew returned from serving in Vietnam with the
United States Navy and entered into Ferris State College where he graduated with an
undergraduate degree in 1970. In 1970, Andrew was admitted to the University Of
Detroit School Of Law. Upon graduation from law school in 1973, Andrew began his
career in the legal department of Manufacturer's National Bank in Detroit, Michigan.
In 1975 Andrew started his private
practice as a trial and family law attorney in Berrien County. While working as an
attorney, Andrew has handled numerous high-profile criminal cases, including; Brown
School Road murders, Vineland Market murder, Angela Fisher murder, and the Marvin
Fiedler police shooting. Andrew has successfully represented numerous family matters-
ranging from simple cases to complex proceedings. Through numerous partners, Andrew
Burch and Jack Banyon have continued to work together as both partners and friends
for 21 years. Andrew Burch has also been there for his community. He served as
president of the Berrien County Legal Aid in the 1980s, and is a life member of the
VFW 1137 in Benton Harbor. He was president of the Berrien County Bar Association
from 2007-2008.

Jack Banyon was born and raised in
Berrien County, Michigan. In 1967, Jack graduated from St. John's Catholic High School.
In 1971, he graduated with Honors from Michigan State University with a degree in
Marketing. In 1973, Jack was admitted to the University Of Detroit School Of Law.
While at the University of Detroit, Jack was an editor on the Journal of Urban Law.
Upon graduation from law school, Jack returned to Berrien County, Michigan to care for
his family and contribute to the community where he was raised. Jack Banyon worked as
a law clerk for the four Circuit Judges of the 2nd Judicial Circuit Court from 1977-1978.
From 1978 until October 1979, Jack was in private practice primarily handling criminal
matters with the firm of Bleich, Peterson & Jancha in St. Joseph, Michigan.
In 1979 Jack took a position at the
Berrien County Prosecutor's Office, where he successfully worked for eight
years-culminating in his appointment as Chief Trial Attorney. While working as a
prosecutor, Jack handled numerous high-profile criminal cases, including murders, rapes
and armed robberies. In 1986 he obtained a murder conviction in the Butch Davis case
without a body. At the time, this was the first murder conviction in Berrien County
without a body and only the third in the State of Michigan.
In 1987, Jack Banyon ended his public
service with the Berrien County Prosecutor's Office to pursue a private practice in
criminal defense law. Jack joined the law firm of Burch & Dettman, where he has worked
for 21 years. Through numerous partners, Jack Banyon and Andrew Burch have continued
to work together as both partners and friends for 21 years. Jack Banyon is highly
regarded in the community as a criminal defense attorney. Jack has successfully
defended numerous criminal matters-ranging from simple misdemeanors to complex felonies.

In 1960 Jim graduated from Benton Harbor
St. John's Catholic High School, in 1964 from St. Joseph's College, Rensselaer, Indiana.
In 1967 Jim graduated from the University of Detroit Law School where he was named the
recipient of the American Jurisprudence award for trial advocacy and was also a member
of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity.
Upon graduation from law school, Jim
worked in the insurance industry legal field. In 1973 Jim began focusing his practice on
insurance defense, civil litigation, wills and estates, commercial law, real estate law
and family law matters. In 1995 Jim joined the law firm in which he continues to be a
partner.
With over 39 years of experience as an
attorney in Southwestern Michigan, Jim now concentrates his practice in the fields of
real estate, family law, probate and estates, corporate, business, and general litigation.
Jim is qualified to handle even complex cases of law and looks forward to referral in
the areas of his current practice.
Kevin Banyon was born and raised in Berrien
County, Michigan. After graduating from St. Joseph High School in 1996, Kevin pursued a
degree in Political Science Pre-law at Michigan State University, where he graduated in 2000.
Kevin proceeded to DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois where he graduated in
2003. While at DePaul, Kevin was an editor on the DePaul Business Law Journal, and clerked
for several prestigious personal injury law firms.
Upon graduation from law school, Kevin obtained
a law license in the State of Illinois, and practiced law in the City of Chicago-specializing
in insurance defense and civil litigation. In 2004, Mr. Banyon obtained a law license in the
State of Indiana. In 2007, Kevin obtained his law license in the State of Michigan.
Additionally, Kevin is licensed to practice before the Illinois Federal Court and Michigan
Federal Court. After obtaining his Michigan bar license, Kevin returned to Southwest
Michigan to work with his father, Jack Banyon, at the law offices of BURCH, BANYON & FORD.
Since becoming a partner at BURCH, BANYON & FORD, Kevin obtained his certificate to practice
bankruptcy in the Western District of Michigan Federal Court.
Kevin Banyon concentrates in the areas of
criminal law, personal injury, family law, and civil law. Additionally, Kevin maintains a
steady bankruptcy law practice, where he is knowledgeable in the intricacies of the new
bankruptcy laws and the details of e-filing. Kevin is currently maintaining a general
practice, and welcomes cases in nearly all areas of the law. Kevin is willing to take cases
in the States of Michigan, Indiana and Illinois in nearly all practice areas. He looks
